Harry Moore CEO UK & Europe

Prior to founding Moore Fleming Harry Moore was previously Principal at KPMG and Coopers & Lybrand where he led teams of turnaround consultants. He has also worked in industry with global businesses such as Dunlop, Carborundum, Silver Cross etc as director responsible for introducing change and performance improvement. He has built a track record for getting quick and effective results through working closely with management teams. In the UK he created and managed the governmnet backed Business Recovery Scheme saving some 135 businesses and thousands of jobs. Barrie Egan Senior Consultant UK & Ireland

 

Barrie is a finance specialist within our team. He has considerable experience of working with SMEs across a range of sectors to diagnose issues, identify solutions, funding requirements and helping them raise debt and equity finance. His most recent experiences include the profitable trading and turnaround of a manufacturing client which was recently sold as a going concern as well as working with other businesses in the distribution, healthcare and leisure sectors to improve their business performance and cash generation. He worked with the Department for Energy and Business Strategy, previously the Department for Business Innovation and Skills and the DTI in a senior advisory capacity and helped a number of businesses access finance and preserve jobs from initiatives such as the Transition Loan Fund set up in the wake of the banking and credit crisis and as a key member of Harry’s team  the Business Recovery Scheme supporting the continuity of trade of viable businesses with temporary cash flow difficulties that had fallen into tax arrears.

 

Barrie has held a number of finance appointments at Senior Management, Executive and Non-Executive Board level within small and medium sized unquoted and listed companies and as an experienced management consultant worked with large as well as smaller organisations to help them develop and implement successful financial and process improvement strategies. Karen Stead  - Business Development Manager - UK

Karen was previously Marketing Manager for Begbies Traynor Group covering London, Manchester and Liverpool. Before that her career has included working for Hammonds LLP, now Squire and Sanders, the top ten international law firm and and Kroll the global advisory firm. She is also the owner of Maximise UK where she works with investment banks, high net worths, M&A firms and a number of lenders. She is unique in her ability to bring people together due to her considerable experience coupled with confidence in her own skills at building relationships. However, first and foremost is the attention to detail and professional approach. She is always ready to go the extra mile to ensure that clients are happy with the service provided. Having qualification in both marketing and accountancy, Karen is able to build working relationships with directors and senior managers to discuss their issues and offer assistance where appropriate. Sara Bird - Associate - Retail Specialist

Sara has an extensive and successful track record in the retail sector and has held Director roles in many of the best known high street brands. She gained a blue chip training at Mothercare as both store and area manager and then became Director at Specsavers - where she was responsible for the development of all retail operations within UK franchised stores. She spent a short period of time with Mamas&Papas before being headhunted to help Harry turnaround Silver Cross focusing on sales and marketing.
She learned about the ultimate in shed retailing at B&Q and then moved to Boots plc as Regional Director with 100+ stores and 11 Area GSMs before being made Opticians Franchise Director. Other appointments more recently have included Retail Director within the Steinhoff group and an interim spell at OakFurnitureLand as Service Director.


She has a particular interest in helping smaller High Street and On Line retailers grow their business through the introduction of methods and techniques used by world class players.

Claire Tomlinson - Finance Specialist


Claire is an ACMA qualified finance executive with a breadth of experience in both the private and public sector. Her style is very much hands on and she will typically take on interim roles where she able to provide strategic input, guide commercial decision-making as well as financial management.

Previous assignments have delivered profit and cash flow improvements, whilst enhancing reporting and controls.  She has carried out interim and project work for the retail, leisure, manufacturing and service industries for companies such as Selfridges, Thorntons, Pub People, Greene King, Mansfield Brewery, RAC, Kappler Europe and many others. Her public sector assignments have included the Royal Free Hospital NHS Trust and Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust.


 Her work has included delivering recurrent and significant costs savings, profit enhancement, negotiating with HMRC and recovering overpayments and reducing the cost of fraudulent retail transactions.
